Catelyn Slayback, MS, CGC

Lecturer

Catelyn is a genetic counselor at Natera and instructor for the University of Arizona Genetic Counseling Graduate Program. She teaches Introduction to Genetic Counseling and Reproductive Genetic Counseling. She attended the University of Arizona where she received a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Africana Studies in 2017. Catelyn attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she received her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling and graduated with High Honors in 2020. Catelyn worked on campus in the Office of Interprofessional Education and was a member of the College of Health Professions Student Advisory Board and Association Student Government. She was awarded an NSGC Prenatal SIG Grant and Becky and Tom Butler Genetic Counseling Endowment Research Grant for her thesis titled “A qualitative exploration of genetic counselors’ experiences and perception of the patient experiences with noninvasive prenatal testing for microdeletions”. In her free time, Catelyn enjoys watching the latest shows and movies, trying new restaurants, reading, and spending time with friends.
